Fall started on September 22nd, with some nice warm weather so now is the time to get some extra flying. A lot of the events have now passed until next spring, except for events in the US. There are a number of events that continue throughout the year and are a little further to get to.
The BC Pilots Association has its monthly meetings on the first Thursday of each month at the Pacific Flying Club from 7:30pm to 9:00pm. The Pacific Flying Club is located at Boundary Bay Airport, 4335 Skeena St #4, Delta, BC. V4K 0A6. Directions
The BC Pilots Association had a nice booth and static display at the Boundary Bay Airshow, with a Pacific Flying Club Cessna 172 with a glass panel. The theme was travelling and camping with your aircraft.
We had many people sign up for the Co-Pilot in a Day course and asking how to get a pilots license, both young and old. Plus the Airshow was a great success, that is free to the public, put on by Alpha Aviation.
The BC Pilots Association also had a fly out last month to Pemberton for a BBQ and then fly over the Meager Slide northwest of Pemberton. The slide is the largest in Canada's history, and slid 6,000 feet vertically.
Check out the Calendar and Facebook page for events and meetings coming up.
